Thread: Any Ideas on a 91 Suzuki Vitara Dash install?

Remove the vents , put the ac controls down in the din, and the LCD in the AC + vent slots.

keep the vent, cut out the section seperating the cd player and the ac controls...then move the ac controls up to the headliner and put the head unit in the glove box or something.

its a possibility.

*Noob Alert!!* Whats a headliner??

I wanted to see about changing the current AC controls, and change it for a nice arrangement, like off a mondeo or something but I wouldnt know if i have the skills to change over the controls... Would i need to change the heating element too, is this a major redesign?

I dont knwo about cutting out the vents but there is a coin tray about the vents, i could relocate them to on there, and move the AC controls to the DIN.. and then cut out the cigarette section (i dont allow smoking in my car) and fit the head unit in to that gap.

put the ac controls where the two lights are on the head liner above the dash (the headliner is the pastic peice on the celling) I'll try to find the link of someone that went that way.

Wow, that would be mega different, but i gently took my dash apart and my AC seems to be actual wires from the sliders to the control unit behind the dash.... I dont know if i could move them right up there and still have them connected....

yeah, thats an idea... how easy would it be to change sliding AC controls for twisty turny dials?
