    no, this bezel is just the right size to cover the original cd...it is about 2 cm higher than the one you worked on...a perfect fit.
    all i have to do is enlarge the hole.

    Maybe those measurements are for the frame...not for the screen?

    So you had to remove the flap to get radio bezel fit?

    Filler is sprayable bondo ( polyester filler ). After you have sprayed it you have to sand it down in order get smooth surface. I can't remember the brand but I can check it for you.

    Ok, I checked the spray can and it's Motip Filler.

    I got my "flap" today and lined it with tape. When I have time I'm going to cut and shape the flap so that it fits to the bezel.

    Because of my ****ty english ....here you have a pic in order to get the idea.

    Tape is there just for helping me to cut straight lines.

    Yours look great too

    I would like to see more of E39 bezel fabrications but there are so few.
