Ideas to fill in this gap? (Pics)

Hey guys,

A pic of my screen roughed in is below. Does anyone have suggestions on what the easiest way to fill in the corners would be whille being workable enough to make it look OEM?

I was thinking spot putty, but this is about 1/4" and thats probably too big. Glass is a lot of work for that small of an area... any ideas?

well u would have to remove everything from there and then u can tape it up from behind and take some clear epoxy and fill it in and then sand it and and just paint it or u can do the same with bondo id do epoxy since its kinda gooey and it runs so u can pritty much let it drip into the gap

I'm in the process of Bondoing mine (using Bondo Body Filler).
I was wondering: Isn't the screen a little bit too low because it doesn't look like you'll be seeing much on 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears?

i have to say, i think it is, although in 3rd-5th gear, i wouldn't be looking at my screen too often...

Good eye guys! But in all gears you have a clear view of the screen. In the pic the shift knob isnt screwed down all the way. Also, I nortmally have on a weighted milled stainless knob. But that comes off in the winters

So would I just be using a regualar 2part epoxy? I am a little weary as I dont want to get it anywhere else. Being gooey makes it easy to work with... but may be sloppy :S

yeah just use 2part **** the one i like to use is got yellow and blue in the tube and it drys sort of clear just put on some cardboard nad then scoop it up with a small piece and let it run into the crack tpe up ur screen with blue masking tape just to be on the safe side and u shud be good to go :-)

I will give that a try.... I must also mention that I want this reversable. Thats why building this section up has to be done carefully

Not to undermine the work you've already done, but have you considered putting the radio in the glove box, and putting the screen in the dash? You can get the metra dash kit and some ABS, make it look really nice, and have it 100% reversible. You lose some radio control, but get yourself XM and you'll never miss it.

No offence taken

I thought long and hard about that... but I like this look better. The metra kits dont have the same texture, and I think the screens look more out of place there. I love the look of the stock dash, and LCD panel. I also spoke to someone who had a screen mounted in both locations and said the glare is MUCH worse up top. So that sealed the deal for me
