New Aluminium Case Moving Along Nicely

This is REV B of my carputer. I added an OPUS 150 and got rid of the inverter. This saved alot of space so now I can make a smaller case. I got a hindged door with a lockable latch. All the inputs are bulkheads for easy install/removal. I got a 9 pin molex for all the power and rca bulkheads for the audio. It should be in production by the end of the week. I'm gonna take pics all through the process. First it will be laser cut and deburred. Then it will go off to the brake forms. Next it goes to assembly where the clinch nuts and standoffs will be pressed in. Next the hindge will be spot welded to the door and the case. Then it will go off to the paint booth. And finally, I will do all the final assembly.

Lookin good man! What application are you using for design? Im working on a similar project in another thread. This looks to be almost a full size ATX case though. I used .063" aluminum on mine and it is strong as can be. I would not do anything under .040" or it will be too flimsy. Can't wait to see some pics of the production and final model.

I'm using .050 H32 so that I can use an .032 bend radius. What bend radius did you use? Its a micro atx case. Not quite as big as the ones in the stores but it will house full size PCI cards. It's a lot thinner than and shorter than a normal case not to mention single walled design to save space. It's a bit longer because I'm puttin my USB sound card and XM PCR all in the case. The software I used for this is Mechanical Desktop 2004 DX. I have Catia and Solidworks but for such simple geometries its easier for me to use MD. How about yours?
