    Lilliput, how do I extend the IR

    I don't want to use the buttons on my install, how do I extend the IR receiver so I don't have to use buttons?

    Desolder it from the board and use 3-conductor RC servo ribbon cable to extend it.

    Why are so many people against the buttons? I kind of like them.

    I don't mind the buttons in general, but the goofy size, shape, and configuration is what doesn't look right after the screen is moded into an otherwise rectangular dash setup. The Xenarc is much better in this respect.

    yeah......im suprised someone who cant figure out how to tell the difference between an IR sensor and a button thinks he can detatch it and extend it
