NiSlo, Im glad to hear its working for ya! The 12 second boots were running the image under vmware on my beast desktop. Im also getting about 20 second cold boots on my via m10000, I'll bet if this OS was installed on some faster hardware it would be in the 15 second range. Anyway thanks for hosting it up and making it available to other members.

Will you chassis fit in my 2002 GT? I want one of these chassis so I can have everything in dash, seems cleaner that having my PC in the trunk or under a seat.

I don't think this design will fit a 2002. I believe you have a DIN and 1/2. I can bend a kit to fit your dimensions though. Thats the beauty of fabrication. You can make it any size you want. Let me know if you are interested and i will work with you to develop a chassis that will fit.

Hello Pepper, welcome to mp3car! The touchscreen > trim kit fab was very easy to do. Taking apart the 7" screen takes patience but its easy to mount once its all apart. I wish I had some more pics from this part but i was on a roll that night and didn't take too many. Basically I just used the front half of the LCD case, trimmed the buttons and a few spots a bit with a dremel and epoxied it into the trim kit. It fit very good. Also the metra kit and my chassis fit a f150. The metra kit i used actually said f150 on it but it fits all of the new ford double din autos (05+)

    Good luck with your project!

Well everything is running good so far. I switched back to RoadRunner for the frontend. I am going to get some pics of this amazingly clear xenarc running very soon. The gamma control works so awesome at night. I like to dim the gauges and the screen at night. Less distraction. I am also at the final stages for the design of my OEM fit button arrary that im replacing some dead buttons with. I also implemented the hard off power scheme. I kill ignition relay and power just gets cut. The m2ATX is set to act in dumb mode. Its nice that every component in the setup shuts off instant. Very OEM approach. I get away with this due to the EWF operating system. The drive never gets written to so it will never get corrupt. Even if you just kill the power. The cold boot to start back up is at 25 secongs into RR. Im lovin it right now. The xenarc was a really good upgrade that im glad i spent the money to do.

Very nice work. I'm just getting ready to start my project, and I'll probably get one of your cases. Just a question, though, is there room inside for a PCI card? 5-1/8” x 7/8” x 5-3/8” are the dimensions of the card. Thanks a bunch!

Excellent leading edge work. Your system looks OEM. Wish I had a double-din. Am I mistaken thinking without that bezel an 8" screen might fit? Hard to tell from the pictures.

Any thoughts on having the flash easily accessible so you can do updates from your desktop ?

On this semi-embedded OS, what happens if you plug in a new USB device the system has never used before. I guess what I am asking is how is the plug-and-play affected with the write filtering ?

I'm going to put it into a 92 Toyota Celica AllTrac Turbo. Thanks, I'm finalizing hardware now, and will order one when that's done.
