Hey just wanted to do an update on my progress so far I haven't been active here because I was in Colorado Springs for a month.

So while I was out there I decided that I was going to add Sirius satellite to the CarPC and searched the threads and figured out what I actually needed to make that happen. It's basically a Sirius tuner along with a USB interface.

Since I've been back I have just been trying to tweak the software to get it exactly how I want it. I decided on getting a sound card instead of sticking with the onboard stuff. I bought the M-Audio 2496, I chose this card because it had the L and R audio in and out on the card. It just seems more sturdy than the traditional ones, for some reason I envisioned it falling out (maybe I'm just paranoid).

I also bought two usb hubs since I'm sure I'll need them too with all the devices I will have connected. One hub will remain with the CarPC and the other will be in the armrest.

The next thing I purchased was an amp since my CarPC is my "head unit" and I figured I would need a cheap 4 channel amp to power the speakers. The problem is that I have 6 speakers total (shaker 500 setup) but the two door subs have their own independent amps. I am just unsure how I am going to have them connected. I checked Joe Cash's post out about it but I am still a little unclear, I wish there was a walk through somewhere that I could check out.

Here are some pictures with the card installed and some of the parts I'm adding to the setup. Hopefully I will start installing soon, I just have to bench test the satellite radio and everything else to make sure it's sound before I start wiring everything up.

Nice selection of parts, you have put together a very nice and clean setup there!

Let me know how things work out with the sat. radio, I am going to implement this but just been too busy working on my house lately to get it setup.

Taking the seats out is really easy, just remove the little plastic covers, then you need a socket wrench and set to pull out 2 bolts and remove 2 nuts. Unclip the airbag connectors (make sure batt. is disconnected) and the whole seat and sliders pop out.

That is a really nice unit bugster, the site shows them out of stock though. If you can get your hand on one of those units let me know, I would consider purchasing one just to mess around with.

Hey Joe, I got the usb interface from http://www.rush2112.net/mkportal/mod...erce/index.php and the tuner at crutchfield.

Make sure you use the free shipping code if you go with crutchfield which I believe is
PA145.

I finally got the satellite working for my build, but the only problem I am having is getting the configuration settings right for Sirius in RoadRunner I have no idea what to do....WTF(please help)!!!!

Does anyone have any information on this.

I am posting some pictures of the software running with the satellite called SatAmp II it came bundled with the MJS interface along with the SXRecorder.

Looking good greg, not sure how to get RR to control the Sat hardware yet, (still dont have mine) but its probably a port setting in RR.ini or something. Build is looking reallu good, cannot wait to see some installed pix!

Also, I just completed routering an 06 Lincoln Town chassis for csurfer and cut 4 more of these for stock just to let everyone know. This was built from csurfers autoCAD file and I will have pics up soon

Joe what's the easiest way to drill holes in the hard drive mount? It's hard to get them to line up correctly....lol.. Let me know if you got any tips at all for drilling even holes.
