@mikeman, I responded to your email.

Right now the pricing is on a 'per project' basis since everyone wants something a little bit different.

Currently I am building the jeep JK bolt in. I will have more info on it shortly, I ordered a bunch of hardware from mp3car store and am awaiting it's arrival.

Oh yeah, building the production clone of my system also, still picking out parts though

This is my new favorite monitor BTW:

Well just got the mustang back, I gave it to the dealer for a few days to look everything over, change all fluids, balance and rotate tires, etc. She is running hella good!

I usually always do my own maintenance, but giving them the car was just as much a marketing move, as it was having them do the work on it. Since I have my web address in graphics on the window, they were free to see its origins. I've just rolled 30k miles so I though I would see, while getting the tuneup, if any of the techs could use, start, or break my system. Well no one was able to break it! I did have quite a few questions about it, how to use it mostly. In any event hopefully someone at ford took notice of what a real system can do, as I've been itching to land a ford account.

What are you wanting to market to them? The hardware? The software?

Little from column A, little form column B

Seriously though, Ford and Microsoft are already sleeping together. Look at the SYNC project for example. IMHO, It will only be a matter of time until they move to a full PC.

I am surprised I didn't fry my CPU doing this but here is a screencap of my autoCAD session in my chrysler JK build.

    Hi Joe,

It's been a while since I've posted but I thought I'd let you know I'm finally ready for the install into the Town Car. Did your buddy go ahead with his Lincoln project?

    My System

Thanks again for the motivation to build this project.

Just checked out your thread, man that is looking nice and OEM!

Glad to see you around again, my buddy with the towncar ended up getting a laptop mount like cop cars have. So yes, he did do a car PC, but its not integrated at all, he uses GPS and some accounting software since the Towncar is used for his transportation business.

Wow, that Pico ITX is crazy small!! Congrats on taking the plunge and going with that board.

Still checking out the options of mini ITX's at Logic Supply, then have tons. Not sure which I'll go with, probably some variant of the C7's.

Has anyone taken a look at flash SATA modules? I was checking out some accessories and debating about trying the OS on a CF card when I saw these. I'm pretty naive I guess, not sure if you can put an OS on them but I don't see why not. Anyway I just thought I'd post a link since this thread is full of trailblazers.

By the way Joe, I will be buying a case from you sometime. Just gotta pull out the radio and measure the dimensions first.

yeah I looked at them until I saw that I would have to pay $228 for the equivalent size of my CF card at 8GB that cost me $40. I don't know what the data transfer rate of those are, but I doubt it is anywhere near the 1.5 Gb/sec limit of SATA. I know the CF cards are limited by the flash technology themselves, not really the interface. My card can do simultaneous read/write at 40MB/s which should be good enough for me.

    Hi blk02si,

Just bought an HD-Zoom radio, think it's what you are using isn't it? Did you make a cable to go from the Zoom to the PC or are you using mitchjs serial interface cable?
