here you have it. Some more pics (w/out wires for clarity).
That is beautiful....make sure you take pics of the mobo and power supply installed in the case. I'm sure that everyone will want to see completed pics as well.
You can definiely market this as an all in one solution...just have 3 wires comming out the back...power, ground, and ignition.

What is missing:
Molded bay for dvd
Custom 90' cable for VGA
Back and front plates
Metal guides (istead of the laser cut ones you see)
Next changes: Option to motorize oppening (WiredWRX idea)
Removable top assembly - right now is a pain to mount all the stuff in.
The way it is now, fits my MR2 and ML320.
On the MR2, uses the original metal brackets. In the ML I used custom brackets.
On the MR2, I had to open the frame by 1/8" top-bottom.
Very well put together! Wish my dash could have something similar.
very nice but i owuld have gone with ally for strength and deffo needs motorising!
A static screenenclosure was very easy to make. Was my first, in aluminum. I was not happy to have the DVD in the glove compartment, nor to furter cut the dash, so this case was born of necessity.Originally Posted by danadane

System works fine. Motorizing will make it cool - specially if we manage to work with drive eject...
