so basically, development on this is kaput?
if that is true; it's quite the atrocity because this thing could sell EXTREMELY well. i know i'd even buy a prototype to possibly modify with a stepping motor.
awesome design, with implementation of motorizing it will be just like those kenwood double din effect. Make me wanna open up the kenwood and copy their motor mechanism

Anyone know what a part like this would be called or where to get one? I'm taking this project and trying to continue the item...

Look at your local hobby store for a nose gear mount. Check the Goldberg and the Dubro sections. Most are 5/32 bore

Found this, but i need it to be 3/8" if at all possible is there a real technical name for this type of part, rather than just being a specialized piece for something else?

Find a plastics place. Its amazing how cheap you can get things made. The plastic place in town here in Ottawa would probably make a few of those for less than $20.
If cost is a concern, the ones I posted by Dubro cost $2.19 a pair give or take. They are one step of the drill bit away from 3/8".Originally Posted by knubile

A couple of months have passed away since the initial posting of this thread.
And i'd still sell my girlfriend in order to get my hands on one of these.
But if you don't plan on massproduction, selling them, would you atleast please share the cad drawings so we can make them ourselves?
Priiiitty please..
