    Question How to get a wooden finish

    How can one get that nice wooden finish on the dash? Is it paint, is it vinyl...?

    I have seen vinyls do this. I believe they were skins for computer cases but from the pictures the wood looked quite real.

    I;ve see just today a vinyl dash, and the difference is noticeable to an OEM wood grain dahs...

    Thanks! Just what I was looking for. However, I'd like a link or something that details the process a little bit...What can I say... I like fabricating things on my own.

    Yes, this is a very good way to get a wood finish. I know Lincoln uses a veneer for their wood grain finish, then put a heavy resin or something for protection.
