I'm actually going to fill that whole bottom out so its just the start. I am going to put a dvd slot drive as well as usb ports down there so its pretty much going to be flat all the way down.
Try to twist the bezel a little to see if filling material came off.

i tried flexing it a lot. Everything seems to stay on nicely w/o cracking or anything coming off. I only worry about when it gets really hot out when the roof is off and the sun is just beating down on it.
looking real good.... the stuff you used is different from what I used.... I've seen the stuff you have before.... it works o.k. too, & If it's working for you then great, but it's not as flexable as the dynatron or 3m stuff..... & doesn't have the same adheasion.... your stuff you may be able to actually peel off if you tried hard enough I think... just check to make sure you can't peel it apart or lift any edges.... then you should be fine....
with temperature you should be ok.....

well i noticed that i can pull some off at the bottom because i can get my finger under it due to the fact that the bottom isn't done yet. I saw the 3m stuff at my local body shop but they wanted $70CAN for it. It was more than i wanted to pay for right off the bat. I saw this stuff and decided what the hey, if it doesn't work out right I'll buy the expensive stuff.
you do get what you pay for when it comes to materials like this...., & the labor is the real cost in a project like this..... hate to have to redo the whole mess to save $20-$30.....
worse case if you see that the adhesion isn't great with what your using you could always build it up with that & then go over it & reinforce it with the right stuff I guess... either way good luck with it![]()

just out of curiosity, if you plan on filling all the way down, why didn't you put the screen slightly lower then you could have left you cigar lighter in place and put the other stuff next to it or around there...
The shifter would get in the way if the screen was located at the bottom. It still gets in the way at this level but when in drive it won't be as much. I was even going to go as far as relocated my AC controls down so that the screen would be higher.just out of curiosity, if you plan on filling all the way down, why didn't you put the screen slightly lower then you could have left you cigar lighter in place and put the other stuff next to it or around there
I also wanted anything plugged in to it through front usb or a/v to be lower than the screen so they don't get in the way of view.
