I've been planning mine for a few months, as well as reading everything I can. I have 3 months to build so I am taking my time and planning EVERYTHING very carefully. spent 4 hours this past weekend building the frame. This is going into the back of a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe show truck, and will house 2 12" Infinity, 4 6.5" Infinity, and one 19" LCD monitor rising up from behind the spawn symbol. And you can see the CarPC in the floor cutouts on the left....

Rough Concept, already changed, but close, just making a trim panel that will be the floor of the cargo area, then rise up, wrap around the spawn symbol, and cover the top and the centre seam of the boxes (2 of them, make it easy to put in and out)

WIP pics, from the phone so the quality blows but you get the idea.....

Well, attempt number 1 was a dismal failure. after 2.5 hours of cure time, I was left with something that had the consistency of a fruit roll-up, it was sticky, but VERY flexible. I was unsure as to the exact ratio of hardener to resin (the shop told me 1 to 100), and I was working in an unheated garage, don't know if that played a part, maybe you guys can tell me. I'll try again next month after the holidays.

How long is it supposed to cure before I can pop it out, I waited 1.5 hours, was that too soon? It was probably a combination of errors, but live and learn.

how cold is it? I'd wait 24 hours and look at it then, won't hurt, if it takes 6 hours to harden, it will only be harder after 24, so just go ahead and grab a good book and just wait

it was 6 degrees celcius, and unfortunately I didn't have the luxury of time to wait for it to cure, as I was using a friends garage and needed to leave. I'll be trying again after the holidays, just looking for a guidleine as to how long I should be waiting.

yeah, thats going to be a little rough then, where do you live? You can either get some sort of heat lamp, or better yet do what I am being forced to do... wait till spring/summer

Live in Ottawa Canada, and unfortunately with the NOPI shows starting at the end of March, and some local ones here as well, I have to have it finished by then.

Mix the resin hot and use a heat lamp/heater and a heat gun.
