I need to make a mold from a trunk peice that is carpeted. I want to make sure that I am protecting the carpet for future use.

My thought is to place the peice in a plastic bag, seal it up tight, and vacuum down all the gaps. This way I can compress the carpet, and protect it at the same time.

Does anybody know If commom plastic bags that are found around every house-hold can with-stand the fiberglass resin?

Zip-Lock?

Garbage?

Dry cleaner bag?

Building Visqueen?

??????????????
