    Filler material?

I'm working on a custom switch panel to control various electronics in the car and I'm not sure how to go about this part of the install.

Here's what I've got so far..

Here's the piece that fits into the console, I already cut the back out to allow the wires to pass through.

Here's the MDF that I used to cover up the hole.

I want to fill it up sand it down and spray paint it black. Any thoughts? Advice on type of spray paint to use? I don't want it looking super shiny or anything.

    Thanks.

Go get yourself some Bondoglass. It's like fiberglass mat mixed up in body filler. put a blob on the edge and then push that panel down on there and then use a straightedge to even it out with some more bondoglass. Just use matte spray paint.

According to google images, yes it does. It's the only pink example on the first page of the image search.
