    Professional Vinyl Dye

Who would I call about getting the bondo around my monitor I custom mounted into my dash PROFESSIONALY dyed to match my cars interior perfectly? I seen a lot of people recommending doing it your self with Vinyl dye but I don’t want it to look like crap. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

look for SEM brand paint. its a plastic/vinyl dye but you sprsy it on like spray paint. If used correctly you will get factory results.

Don't buy from Select Products because they charge an arm and a leg. They're a great resource to find out what you need though Most good body shops will have a huge rattle can selection of vinyl dye.

Would you use vinyl dye on Bondo???

I've used VHT Penetrating vinyl dye. Works great on vinyl, (colors are limited through), it's also recommended for leather and carpet, but I wouldn't recommend it from personal experience.

I've used the VHT Penetrating vinyl dye and it works great on carpet, leather and vinyl, but is no better than spray paint on hard plastics, etc. I think I'll be giving the SEM product line a go now

Loved how it worked on vinyl.

I wasn't too thrilled with it on carpet it's not horrible, but not great, makes everything feel brittle.

On leather (as in seats), hard to do. Once they've had a protective wipe, it's almost impossible to get all the residues out. Afer awhile, I used steel wheel and laquer thinner, still would come up shortly.

For platics, I just use Duplicolor adhesion promoter, then any Duplicolor color. If the surface is funky (Raycrete, expoxy, whatver), I use Transtar 2 n 1 Flexible primer. Good stuff.

That's how I painted my dash.
