    Mazda3 double din kit

    I know a lot of people fabricate the single din metra kit to fit there mazda 3 but has anyone ever bought this off ebay and tried to put a screen in it?

    my greater concern is if anyone could answer why this is soo much more expensive then the single din made by metra.

    They know they've got a niche market and they charge more. If it's really worth it to you, you'll shell out the cash and they know it.

    Advantage: less dremeling, able to keep the OEM LCD without making a mount.
    Disadvantage: With the single DIN after dremeling it out to double din you are left with a "shelf" which is convenient for building your screen into.

    Edit: HOLY GOD THATS EXPENSIVE...you could upgrade to a motorized single DIN screen for that price....

    No, Xenarcs are 800*480 native not 480*234. That'd be 2400*480 in dots.
