    You could get some industrial velcro. It's more like a bunch of plastic fingers that hold together more than hook and loop.

    Have you looked at the PartsExpress carpet? It's cheap and stretchy

    Nice job on your first box! I agree with shadow. I'm using velcro on mine as well. We have horrible roads here in Quebec and it hasn't come loose yet. Just sand a few spots underneath and along the side smooth and stick the velcro right on the box.
