How confident are you with car electronic? Do you have a multimeters? Have you installed any car stereo yet? Do you have all wire color code for needed wires (or know where to find) for your car?

If you answer yes to all of the above, you can do it.

I had a clifford G4 and a clifford G5 in my cars. Very nicely designed alarms and great if you get the 50 dollar computer programming option.

If you're comfortable doing it, you should be able to get the wiring info/color code charts from http://the12volt.com. They're really not that hard to install, so long as you take your time and do it right Just make sure you have all the info before starting out

I dont have a multimeter and im really unsure about wiring i mean i can put two wires together and put tape on them.........i think i need to read some tutorials because $100 is a good bit of money for installation

100 is cheap... it all depends how well it's installed, for a full remote start compustar install, highend with everything soldered & installed to last the lifetime of the vehicle, brain burried to be inaccessable to a thief... I wouldn't do it for less than 350-400, depending on the vehicle..... plus parts of course....

you can spend around a whole day or more to do it right... my own car took like 16 hours, with window controls, sliding door, passkey system, etc...

depends who's doing it.... a kid that makes 100 a day, & takes 3 hours it'll cost you at least $100.... I'd definaley let them do it over trying it yourself if you don't have a clue though, but if you have a real nice car, find a GOOD shop, pay around $250 for a half way decent job....
