on the side or through a shop?... sure there are shops even installing these for 550-600, but depends on the car & level of install.... there are guys just throwing them under the column too for $400..

I used to install for Circuit City. I always put the alarm somewhere that'd take at least 5 minutes to get to so it'd be hard to disable.

100 dlls for installing a viper 791 is not bad,if the shop has good reputation i'll say go for it,is better to get some warranty on the installation,in another hand this car is easy as hell to install this system,of coure if you have some knowlege about this.for now the highest model on viper is the 5900 remote start with sst,dei say it has 1 mile range, and it does the job,i have install some of this systems and they do have a really good range, very very close to the mile.

i work for Circuit right now and the unit + install = around $550....1000-1200 is slightly rediculous. The install charge itself for a 791xv = $160 not includin any bypasses or whatnot, and that car doesn't need any. And shadow, i was about to say that wiring diagram looked familiar....Directechs?

Yeah See, I'm not the only one who worked for CC.
I use Tweeter's login on directechs because when I worked at CC they dumped DEI for Code so I don't have their password anymore.

Lol, i have CC's login, but i've gotten so used to using some place in California's password that it's become second nature. not that that's a GOOD thing... lol CC got DEI back last year. i hated Code

The code alarms were NOWHERE near as bad as the Audiovox. I hated cutting the fifty wires off the Audiovox that nobody ever wanted to pay to hook up. Plus the RF bitwriter for the Code stuff was pretty cool.
