Thats true I didn't even think of that. In that case you may want to get some sort of thermal compound to go between the HD and the case. There are pinholes on top of the HD which can not be covered though, so I'm not exactly sure how to do it.

I do know that others have done such a thing, so searching will probally find you the answer.

EDIT: after a bit of searching it looks like you would defintely benefit from a 'heat conductive pad' or some other thermal pad, like what is sometimes used to adhere chipset coolers to a chip. Rather than any aqueous thermal compound.

I know Koolance makes this for their hard drive coolers, you can prob use it in this case as well... http://www.koolance.com/shop/product...products_id=48

Awesome, thats what I was trying to find. Not 100% sure, but you could probally find one cheaper if you searched a bit more.

Koolance makes expensive stuff, so they probally figure that if you pony up the money for their gear in the first place, more than likely you'll spend the extra bit of money on something like a thermal pad.

Thanx for the input. I'm in UK so will nor buy that stuff from US, thou i have some CPU compaund which i think will do the job. Not woried to much. Not gona live in the car 24/7 with PC on all the time.

you could even use the paper ones that the dentist uses... I'd buy a better one personally

dry's so quick? I have to wait 24 hours... and I'm lucky its all dry... then again I'm outside in my workshop (shed out back) when its in the 40's outside...

by the way, I've been wondering, what does mumble actually translate too... never heard it... girlfriend?

mumble - english word, does'nt traslates, all women mumble other similar words are: mutter, grumble, sputter. Dont know if they any good for explanation. Did'nt had time today to by mask and i dont usualy use them.

Do u know any good front shell? I cant find any as goog as centrafuse. It loox stylish. Dont like others. Tryed frodo, media car, street deck (perhaps, what maps are used in streetdeck?)

Wow nice dude, I used to own a Saxo before my current car, and i have to say i did think about putting the pc in it, but i have to say, i didnt think you could get a LCD in the dash! I see why you removed the heaters its thee only way in a saxo, well done!
