the center vents don't have that much room in the back with all that plastic mold in the back. you'll have to saw them off or something and it's a real chore. how about having the 1din radio in the armrest?

I have a look into it, and there is not so much space . I dont destroy anything expensive.
but the harness is long enough
and the hight is born to be there.

that's the armrest right? what year is your passat? mine's a 2001 b5.5 glx. there's about a 1 din room in the armrest for mine. i'm not sure about yours tho.

No is not the Armrest iam not have an armrest like you (MJ 1998) this is the Airjetholes (<--is that right?)
I remove the housing and than it looks better ;-)
