This is worth thew money.. trust me... its a high quality aluminum bezel.. and the way it is currently you can adapt it to fit ANY double din space... which is awesome I think
I will post a nice DIY on how to make it work nicely with a VW MK4 as soon as I get the bezel...

One problem with my design is the undercuts on the tabs, it makes it so it cant easily nor cheaply be cut on a CNC machine... thats what i have decided to make mine out of a ABS like material...
But for the record i had used 3M tape on my original design for over a year so it will work, i was just wondering more about the screen mounting.

Hi Mate,
Sorry for your distress, but I haven't misled you in anyway as to what you would get for your money, this was all detailed in the first post of this thread, and a link to Glows thread which shows the technical drawing for the bezel that I have had replicated for this GB!
The four metal tabs that have been referred to are already inside your Xenarc, its just a matter of attaching these to the bezel. I plan to drill and self tap into the reverse side, however as has been mentioned here, you could easily use metal epoxy which will be more that sufficient should this prove not to be a workable solution.
The price of you have paid is the cost price of the engineering and P&P, I am not making anything from doing this, other than getting my bezel at the same price as what you have paid rather than the near £300GBP one off price. I spent many hours contacting CNC engineering companies to discuss the project and drill them down on their quotations, the price you have paid is the best available.
To put you in the picture I am a perfectionist, I have been wanting to install a carPC for along time now, however I have been holding off as I didn’t want an aftermarket looking centre piece in the dash of my pride and joy. I will be showing my car at numerous VW shows this year, this being the centre piece this time, so rest assured this will be a OEM+ solution for CarPC and Mk4 Golf/Jetta.
I as well as others here, will be posting a full work log of how I attach the screen to the bezel, as well as the bezel to the radio cage, so bide your time and all your questions will be answered we just need to get the bezels, and I need my panel back from Xenarc, which will hopefully be soon!
Is there anyone else who would like to go on the reserve list for one of these beauties?
I think we'll be fine....
What's the reserve list? Did someone back out of it?
