    generally any work that has to be done to a carputer can be done straight from the touchscreen (assuming you'll have one), keyboard and mouse(if you're working on the touchscreen)

    If your seat fold back, why not mount it front up? Then you could just hop in back, fold the seat forward and go to work.

    That's how I was going to do mine originally but it didn't fit through the opening.

    so you're wrapping the laptop cooler fan in carpet as well? Great idea! but the fans need ventilation to work properly. Again, wrapping it in carpet is dumb, don't do it

    whoops your reading comprehension > mine sorry, i still assumed you were doing the carpet over everything as someone else had posted the Mount>Carpet>Cooler>Laptop and i had misinterpretted
