    ehm... and whats the difference from this and putting a layer of some fine cloth as the final layer... should get pretty smooth!

    It's way easier to get something smooth to start with than to lay something over the top of something bumpy to get something smooth.

    Fiberglass is rarely laid in a super smooth form unless you use a vacuum bag.

    Adding a layer of some kind of cloth over the top woll do nothing to even out the discrepencies in texture and height, it will only accentuate them.

    Applying glass/duraglass to the back side of the fabric is a trick that has been used for ages in fabrication. it gives the same benefits and requires a fraction of the work to finish it out.

    Okay, well today we got another two layers on and the shell poped out, tomorrow we are going to mount the speaker rings a stretch the fleece over then wait intill anohter nice day and lay some matt down. I will have pictures up tomorrow.

    hi
    i wanted to make a box for a 10" w6
    i made the back and out of 3/4 mdf and was planing to make the top[ a front out of fiberglass.

    Could anyone tell me what the best materials would be to use and where to get them?
