    in dash USB slot, where to get?

    I've seen pictures of folks installing extra USB slots in their dash, fab bezels, ashtays and so forth. Are those "bare" USB slots? and if so, where can you buy them? If not, are they just taken off an old motherboard, hub or something?

    I did search, but search is only as good as the search parameters.

    Any electronics outlet. There are USB ports designed for the backplane of a PC. Take the backplane off and you have a couple USB ports. Tah dah!

    I was going to do the same, but since these have mounting hardware already, just means less time I have to put in fab'ing it into my console.

    Well, I found this device in the mp3car shop very nice. (Replaces the lighter)

    Haven't seen it anywhere else. Anyone used it?
