ha if you go on ebay they sell a double din kit for mazda 3 and its awesome. I intalled a kenwood Navigation 7in screen in it I will take piture later and post
when that come out?
I had to fabricate my 7" screen using the single din... oh well, either one of them were going to get ripped to pieces regardless
Metra's double din kit is finally out and it's like 15 bucks. the kantech one's been out for a while but it's overpriced IMO
stupid metra, taking forever
I want that for my Lilli...would love to move screen up to the OEM nav location, bring the stereo out of the glovebox, and try to fit my computer where the radio is now...

The steering wheel controls I have connected to my carpc and I'm using them to control Road Runner. No reason why this can not be done with a Mazda 3

Rafster, the first picture is the stock Navi screen.
In this thread I posted a few other options.

I'm still waiting on pricing from the JapanParts OEM-style flip up. Their website was down for a while.
307, that is a sweet looking setup so far, any more progress on it? What is the slit below the HVAC knobs? (AC/Recirculation/Defrost?) Looks different without the buttons.
e90sg, I don't think there is a way to get RR to work with the steering wheel buttons. I would suggest checking with some RX-8 owners, since we use a similar head unit, the steering wheel controls should be coded similar too.
