Thats what I actually planned on doing as my back up. After i finish the base up I'm going to take my measurements again. I do have space to extend it outward so thats not a problem at all.

2. that enclosure doesn't look anywhere near 2 cu. ft....maybe it's just the picture?

we've got our 15 in 3.5 cu ft ported...yeah - 16 Hz isn't a problem...

I just don't see 2 cu. ft. out of that enclosure

Could be the picture.

What method did you use to figure out your spce?

another method is getting that packing peanuts and fill up your enclosure. then get a 12"x12"x12" box and start to pour the peanuts into the box, how many boxes you have will equal how many cu/ft you have

Well thats the method I used. I was able to fill the box with 2 boxes with a little spill over.

But I did that with the box completely empty... correct?

if you did that while its empty then there's your problem. you need to check the displacement of that sub, it looks massive. it looks easily like 1cuft of displacement if you ask me. if you had 2 cuft without the sub in, then just subtract the subs displacement and theres your size.

9. or he could leave the box as is and invert the sub, but then that's an awful lot of driver sitting out in the middle of the trunk.
