Help/pointers on a first fab...

Hey all,
Been lurking on the site for awhile, searching, reading... There's alot of information on this site, so I'm just trying to take it all in. I'd like to start off with a nice, clean install and I have a model with which shows the direction I'd like to go. I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to get me started. Here's some pics of what I'd like to do.

I tried searching, but I didn't really find much on how to integrate an Ipod in this manner. Anyone have any pointers?

get a dock, cut a hole for it, secure it in place, add fiberglass, then fill with bondo, sand, sand, sand, sand some more, sand until it's smooth, prime, and then finish with vinyl or paint.

without a doubt you'll learn something if you read just one percent of the billions of LCD fabrication threads here. Just because it's a different component doesn't mean the process for integration is any different. Read the stickies. Use some imagination.
