    Screen's Too Big...Help Please BMW E30

    Bought an 8" screen thinking it would be better than a 7" but it doesn't seem to fit nicely anywhere. can anyone offer any advice on the best place to put this please in a 1991 BMW 318i E30. I really need some help cheers!

    move your hvac controls down to the massive area that could fit a couple of seated barbie dolls, and use that massive space to stick a 10" in there!

    search my posts. I'm working on fabbing up something for my e30 touring.
    You really got 4 options

    1. fab something up for the pocket area below the HVAC.
    Easiest place to put it but the worst for accessibility and screen angle.

    2. fab in dash
    You can move the HVAC controls down but you'll need to lengthen two of the vent cables. The HU would have to be moved also if you were planning on retaining it.

    3. Fab in vent area
    I'm taking out the centre vents and molding a hood for my screen. But an 8" in that location would be too big.

    4. Sell the 8" get an in dash unit.

    5. stick a cushion on the bottom of the screen and have it sit on your lap when you're driving
