yeap, definatley the cheapest way out is a used bumper in color... if you have the time & patience to find one
yea ide just leave it for now (ide do the elmo idea) and just check the junkyards localy and wait for a car of your same color to pop up that got creamed in the side by a f350...then buy that cars rear bumper and tadah! haha
Which is why i love how my expedition has crome bumpers, when i was rear ended, the Insurance company cut me a $800 check for the replacement of the bumper, i was able to find one for $120. And then i went to a really nice restaurant after i mounted the bumper.
Ride a bike.
or you could punch another hole on the other side and do a dual exhaust...
or you could punch another hole on the other side and do two cameras tied to your turn signals, instead of reverse function.
or you could punch another hole on the other side and fabricate reverse bull-bars to mount through there so you don't keep pharking up your car backing into stuff.
or you could punch a hole in the other side and put some high-power reverse lights back there so you can see what you're backing up towards.
or you could run a duct from there inside the car to exhaust heat from the computer.
or you could punch another hole on the other side and run dual exhaust to your computer.
okay i'm done.

How about gluing a quarter in there with some super strong epoxy and then watching as all the nimrods try and pull it out.
