ok iv gotten bored with my holder... i have decided to "update" the look a bit and it will actually "dock" now(charge and play music at the same time). I have gotten very comfortable with body filler and epoxy and so those will be my two main materials... here is what i did today... its not much, but it was kind of one of those spur of the moment type things... let me know what you guys think... i still have the original so i can always swap it back if this one turns out looking rubbish.... i will keep adding pics as i go along...

    that looks great

i would have assumed the ipod holder would be permanently mounted.. but if it is, how do you get the ipod in and out? or do you have to pull the holder out, slip the ipod in, then put the holder back in the dash?

+1 It looks like you'll have to pull the holder out. Fortunalely in 206s, the stock ashtray/cupholder is easy to remove.

I converted the standard ashtray to a combo housing start/rest button and usb hub on my own pug206.

You did a nice work on this Ipod Holder.

thats the only lil prob... i kind of have to take the whole thing out to remove the ipod... but a was thinking of making the top half swivel around 180deg with a servo or sumthing... but thats for a later stage

thats a real nice install there rudels!

I'm currently building an actuator powered dock into my ashtray. what did you use to make the Ipod dock into your stereo? and did you use an Ipod dock plate, or did you just fabricate from scratch?

anyways, killer install man, hope to see more soon!!
