Lilliput attaching to dash problem

So I attatched my Lilliput bezel to my dash using epoxy. It's "PC-7 Heavy Duty." It has an A and a B part which you have to mix. It is Epoxy Resin and Polyamide Hardener. It says it's workable for up to 1 hour and cures overnight. A few days later when I was trying to test fit some other stuff, it fell out.

So seeing as that epoxy sucks.. what should I use to adhere the bezel to the dash?

What I used on my bezel is the $4.00 epoxy from discount autoparts.

I just checked that p7 Stuff out. Doesn't say anywhere that it bonds to plastics. Its garbage. Go to an auto parts store and look for a plastic weld. Look for something that specifically says ABS plastics. Scuff the sides of the plastic if its glossy/shinny.

look for the purple package.

Let me tell you that that thing is so freking good that the pice that I was glueing was off by 2 mm and I tryed to taking it apart puting it on the ground and pulling with both hands after 5 min and it didn't move.

I used both this and the 3M automix 5883 plastic repair but the cheap epoxy was better on ABS (that is what the bezel is made of) I also use 3M 5907adhesion promoter... anyway you more than welcome to try the 3M.

Ah okay. We just used some liquid epoxy we found at our house. I'll go look for the purple stuff too to reinforce it.. then we're going to fill in the space with "Great Stuff." It's like an expandable foam.

I've used the expandable foam in a number of fabrications. Be careful though, go slow, it more than doubles in size when it sets. It locks things in pretty good too. I use it often in HU relocations because I can neatly suspend the cage and then fill the surround w/ foam before I glass. Cuts nicely with a razor and sands too.

A guy that worked for me jimmy, well we used to use some plastic rivets from time to time that you could fuse in w/ a torch. He was fusing rivets to a bezel that I had made w/ foam. Bad Idea Jimmy, that foam is sooo flamable. Jimmy found that out the hard way. Be careful with it.
