    dash kits for a mazda?

So i have everything set up at my house. Im running my sp13000 with a laptop powersupply and i have my lilli in dash screen hooked up to my desktop's powersupply. everything seems to be working great. however right now im at the point where i have no idea what to do. I've never installed a stereo in my life so i have no idea what the heck is goin on. I have no idea how to remove the stock stereo on my '05 tribute, and i have no idea what kind of dash kits and what not i will need to install the case and the screen. So if you have any suggestions on removing stereos, dash kits, etc. you'd help me a ton.

Don't double post! It is essentially the same question as your other thread, just in the right spot.

well... a prybar seems to be the tool of choice when other people remove my radio.

in all honesty though, you should look at a trim removal tool... looks like a big flat fork. this will help you wedge behind the plastic trim pieces and pop them off without creating stress marks, scratches, broken tabs etc...

be careful when doing this though... some dash pieces are still held on by one or two screws. a factory service manual, chiltons, haynes, etc... will tell you exactly how to do this without destroying something expensive.

as far as what pieces to buy. you should log into www.crutchfield.com, and find your way to "chat with a sales expert" (or whatever they call it). That's a live person who does nothing all day but tell people what parts will fit their car and point them right to it. If you're just starting out with car installations, this is your one of your best resources.

Rubber ducky, you're the one! You make the bathtub so much fun!

Gotta love Bert and Ernie. To bad they were taken off for a few years because they were too "gay". Now they are back on and they don't even sleep in the same big bed with the "B" and "E" over the top. The have seperate rooms, and everything... Oh the politics of kid shows.
