ah, ok...
i figured it was that, but i wasn't sure...

What is the maximum speed these devices will be able to detect?
much faster than you could ever wish to drive.....
most car's have a speed sensor that is a 5V square wave (or a 5v pulse), 1 pulse per revolution... to hit 650 pulses per second, you'de have to be going PRETTY fast...... seeing as for instance, my tires, have a rating of 832 revolutions per mile.......... which is 0.78 miles PER SECOND, 46.875 miles per MINUTE, and 2812.5 miles per hour
lol.........how i wish i could......but never gonna happen
take a look at your car's service manual, maybe you can find out exactly what your speed sensor does
even if lets say your speed sensor had 12 pulses per revolution, you'de still get 234mph out of this...
i'm wondering now if it's not so much that it wont handle whatever speed you could throw at it.....now i'm wondering if maybe the range is so great that it will be insensitive to slow speed or low just not quite accurate enough in a case of a speed sensor with a low pulse rate......

Well I guess the sensor would output 0.00769 V/Hz...not sure what the sensitivity of the fusion brain is.
would this also do tacho, oil, temp etc? or would they connect straght to the fb?
can the fb calculate millage like trip miles and total accumlative miles?
Rob
temps wouldn't work with this because those are a constant voltage sensor, not a pulse type sensor like a speed sensor or tach signal...
to do temps, you'de use the Thermometer's that they have available.
this will work for things like speedometer, tachometer, things of that nature, things that require converting a pulse into a voltage reading...
