This is a dual function board with 4 separate and independent channels to connect to your Fusion Brain. You can connect up to 4 voltage sources to each of these boards. First the onboard voltage divider will scale the voltage lower, then feed it through an isolator, and on the other end the Fusion Brain will read it as a 0v to 5v number. If for any reason something bad happens on the input side (such as a large voltage spike) the isolator channel will be damaged but your Fusion Brain will be protected.

By using a jumper, you can select either 15v mode or 7v mode without any additional components. 15v mode is good for car use as most cars' charging circuits output between 13.8v and 14.4v (depending on make/model). Since all the inputs are isolated, you can use this to monitor battery banks in your house or car. By using the Fusion Brain to monitor your solar and/or wind battery banks, you gain access to all the advanced features of our software including remote internet monitoring and data logging. Electric vehicle owners will appreciate a simple and accurate system for monitoring and logging their battery banks in real time as well.

The extra space on the board allows it to be fully configurable with the addition of 1-2 resisters per channel. Generally you would only need to add 1 additional resistor if your monitoring range is not included in the 15v or 7v modes. You can add larger or smaller resistor values to the empty space to increase or decrease the value that the board will step down accurately.

Each channel requires x1 2pin female/bare-wire cable for the input as well as x1 3pin female/female to connect to one of the Fusion Brain's analogue input ports.

It is configured for 15v and 7v max depending on the jumper placement. If you have the board oriented so the text is the correct way for reading, if you place the jumper over the middle and bottom pins, it is for 15v applications. If you place the jumper over the top and middle pins, it is for 7v operations. If you want to cutomize it, then use R17 for channel 1, R18 for channel 2, R19 for channel 3, and R20 for channel 4.

1.6 = (Wanted Voltage) * (66/(550 || R17))

where (550 || R17) is the resistor you put in the empty R17 place in parallel with a 550ohm resistor.

R20 through R24 are for output scaling, however it should not be necessary to use anything there if connecting to a Fusion Brain. The output of each channel is actually directly powered from the Fusion Brain port (polarity in connecting does matter, it is marked on the board with the red wire being +). If however you need to scale the output to something other than 0-5v, then you can use those resistors to do so.

Is there some sort of "noob" guide for this thing lol ? My plan was to connect my reverse lights to the FB so that CF switches to my camera screen automatically when the lights turn on. I bought some resisters to create a voltage divider as described here but i never actually hooked it up to the FB. So if i purchase this device, how do i achieve the same thing? I understand the connectors (2 pins are connected the reverse light, VSEL is the jumper, VOUT goes to the FB), but do i need to add a resistor to this board to achieve what i'm trying to do?
