I just bought a photo sensor from the mp3car store and I'm having some problems with it. Reading raw voltage I can only get it to read right at 3 (I'm assuming volts). Where my other photo sensor reads 4.97 which was purchased from the fusioncontrolcentre site when I first bought my v3 brain. Both sensors were tested in the same analog input 0 port. I also tried port 1 and got the same result.
Is there anything I can do to fix it? I attached a picture. This is a $15 let down at this point.
Let's see if 2k1Toaster has any suggestions about this. If we can't help solve the problem, I'm happy to ship you a replacement.

The photosensors are extremely sensitive. So if you are just getting a reading of "3" which is in volts, and it doesn't move when you wiggle it or even put your hand close, then it is most definately busted.
Just for verification, you did try the "bad" sensor on a known good port to read in correct? If so, then it is absolutely bad and we will work with mp3car to get you a replacement.
I meant it reads up to just about 3 volts. It does vary depending on how much light it receives. The problem is if I hook my other photosensor up to the same port pointed at the same light source where the new one only reads almost 3 volts, it reads up to 4.97 volts.
A replacement would be great. Unless you had anything else I could try, 2k1?Quote:

Replacement reads the correct voltage now. Am I to send the defective sensor back?
