I updated it a little, I'm trying to get that tunnel/depth feel. I'm not sure how the information portion is going to turn out (left). But I'm definately not going to ask for 3d rotated text support. I'll make it work.

I'm kind of bummed that rotating needles/arcs arent going to work out here, but I've been tossing stuff around with the temp graph. I'm hesitant to replace it though.

But thanks a bunch for making it so I can make this skin the way I intended initially.

Ok that's it for the night, I have some stuff to fix now y2k08 issues.

here's some of the changes I've been doing, the animated gif's effect will be obtained with different pages.
Things are starting to look a little more like before, but I think it's really taking the best of what it was with it.

    The more things change....

Well, I found myself looking at it, trying to convince myself it was what I had in mind, but really, the turn wasn't a very good interpretation (but it was kind of fun to fool around with). Sorry to put you through it. So, due to some private feedback, and the overwhelming public response; things have changed back even more now, I think playing around with transparency helped me solidify the aspects of the original that I think are very solid. I'm very happy with this now. Time to start making things work.

It is amazing how much a transparent background change makes to the whole image. I like #3 the best for simplicity, but I like #4 for its "looky at what I can do" feature which I think is pretty cool.

Tomorrow I have the day off from everything, so I will be working on getting text to work. I am going to try the png splicing and see how much of a performance hit it is. Because every character is now a sprite basically. Sort of like jumping up from Mario World to Mario Kart 64 with the hardware needed sort of thing when you start drawing that many more polygons/triangles.

I should formally complain to M$ for text support!

I have that P3 (I think it was yours once right?) but I disconnected it recently. When my main desktop PC's HD with the OS on it died, I grabbed the quickest PC's HD and cannabalized it to get my server back up and running. I havent put it back together since. Lowest spec computer I have up and running is a P4 2.8Ghz.

Actually I just remembered I have an old Dell from when they were good computers 1999/2000 with a P3 500Mhz and 128Mb of RAM. I think it still has its HD in there too. Now I am curious as to what the basement might reveal!

I remember it was someone's, I think from the big first thread. But it wasn't mine. I do have an AMD available (which you may have heard) for testing though. If you guys want.

I'm just worried that a large portion of users may suffer for the direction things are going. I don't want a big coming my way.

EDIT: Especially in this skin, the back end isn't exaclty going to be tiny.
