Busy Caddy Multi-Input

I was checking out what H3rk is doing with Mod-T and thought what would I want for my main fusion graphic, how would I arrange the buttons and labels. So I fired up MS Paint imported an overhead pic of a Caddy and went crazy with circles and rectangles. The more I added the busier it got. Then I thought what if I load RR TPMS under Fusion and cut holes in Fusion so the data shows through seamlessly. This main page has momentary buttons in red, sensor outputs are in yellow, buttons with yellow are on/off, and the orange is totally automated.

Now I have to ask myself where do I put the brain? Most of the control lines can be reached either under the dash or in the door or ceiling. The trunk stuff an probably be run down th driver's side power tunnel. Luckily, the whole computer's in the dash, too. But I'm gonna need a box for the brain just to be safe.

Anyone mount one of these near their CPU or stereo that an tell me if its noisy (RF)? Does it generate much interference? Does it set off radar detectors in close proximity? How much heat does it generate?

This is going to be a fun project, thank God I have all winter to get it done.

I totally dig the idea of having everything all availble for access all at once. Honestly, I'm not really big on the idea of clicking a couple or few times just to change my fan speed, but as of yet I haven't seen a better way.

I haven't actually installed the brain yet, since I keep digging myself deeper into the design sinkhole, so I don't really have any help on the placement and such.

Same here. I keep designing and redesigning the graphics and the brain jut sits on the shelf. I also am waiting on the software to firm up

I have begun to order sensors and like I said am concerned about wiring. The Com API will alleviate hardware automation of the power radio antenna (I hate it sticking up in the breeze when I rarely listen to FM, but I want it operating normally when the Tablet is not in the car and to raise whenever I do switch RR to FM). The fridge, Amp, and Air Compressor in the trunk need to be switched off automatically whenever voltage drops below a certain point. And I'd like the sunroof to pop up when the inside temp goes above a specific temp.

My problem is I've worked with home automation software for so long that's been mature for decades and I've been able to make it do incredible things. I want the car to be just like it and we're nowhere near that level of integration. So I have to be patient and its killing me!
