Any working skins?

I am interested in the fusion brain, but don't exactly have $50 to plop down on one right now with very limited applications. I have yet to see any skins that do much more than show temperature or attempt to control hvac. I have no use for the hvac control because I prefer mine manual anyway, but there are some other things I'd like to see:

- Real working skins for RoadRunner(I use DigitalFX)
- Working ultrasonic for backup
- Fuel flow sensor/w instant & average mpg? Can get mileage from GPS & fuel consumption from a sensor T'd into the supply line.
- Working tire pressure sensors

I've also yet to see anyone do a good implementation of the temperature controls and 3-axis accelerometer. I'm sure there's many things I'm missing, but the fuel flow idea/w good skins might prompt me to buy one.

The whole point of the skins is so that you can make it do anything you want.

Want an accelerometer input, then make an input and tie it to an accelerometer function voila. Display it many ways, by monitoring it.

The outputs can do many things. How you use them is up to you.

Tire Pressure sensors are wireless and need a pairing device to receive and interpret the signal. This is not something the Brain does or will do in the near future.

And the program is embeddable into any skin and any program. You can make it look like anything you want again.

I suggest you download the MDX installer package and look at the configurator.

Currently I am working on a skin that will be the default released with MDX based off of the GTR.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm checking out MDX on my testbed machine. If I had an input(say 12V reverse light wire), could FusionBrain take that and make the computer switch on the reverse camera? All it has to do is press C in roadrunner(I have C programmed to switch to the camera). Also, on the semi-defective boards, do the LEDs have anything to do with the actual operation of the board?

You would need to divide the 12v to 5v using a voltage divider, then send that to an input.

In MDX make a function "if input is greater than 2.5, send 'c' to window RoadRunner".

The 2.5 is random but it is standard to pick a middle value for a digitally operating input. So 0-2.5v nothing happens, 2.5v to 5v something happens. With the reverse switch it will be either 0 or 5 so the cutoff is irrelevant really. But keep in mind if you make it like 0.01v, if any noise is detected it could trigger it, and if you make it 4.99 then noise might dip it below that for a little and it would disengage.

And no the LEDs have no function other than to help when debugging really. All the outputs and inputs work on a semi-defective one that we are aware of. And we are very low on stock right now, waiting for some to come in but they have had some natural disaster delays recently so it is more slow going that usual.
