I just finished packing 8 boxes, and now I have 3 more to go...

Almost 20 gallons of packing peanuts later...

Its only double boxed now. But they are 12x12x8 boxes on the outside, and then the same itty bitty white boxes inside. I have just had really really bad experiences with USPS. Even the other day I got a package with a tire track on it in one of those clear baggies with a "We Care" note inside... How the **** does that happen?!

I've been really busy and haven't had to get to play with my skin very much so I'm a little behind everyone else now, but I'm working on developing a temperature slider (like in a car - blue to red) and my initial idea was to create a multi-image with the slider in different positions and then put transparent buttons over top of that image to change the variable appropriately to make choose the corresponding image... The programming end of it works fine but my problem is that when i put the button on top of the image the transparency of the button skips over the image and shows me just the background. If thats too hard to fix then I did think of another way of doing it, but I'd really like to do it this way.

Also the font sizes dont change in the program when i change it in the xml file

Yeah this is in the way C# handles transparency. It actually doesn't unfortuneately and Microsoft lied to everyone. There is no such things as transparency right now, only merging an image with the background using alpha colours. So it doesnt care what is below it, it will only look at the background. I am trying to fix this, but this is the underlying nature of how C# works, so it wont be easy or pretty if it can even be done. It seems like noone (developers) really cares, so noone has tried to figure it out.

Any cool, creative solutions you've thought of to give that kind of functionality? I suppose if everything is broken down into seperate parts graphically, a single bar on a graph could have button like functionality given to it in the 'all statements' function area.
but then we're back to the 'everything is a button' thing. but with uber that one button can do much more....

Well my first thought is to ditch gdi and use directx. Pros: It will work. Cons: Hard as f00k.

Second thought is to make all images draw to a temporary graphic bitmap on the double buffer, then draw all buttons as transparent over top. Pros: easier, but still not easy that's for sure! Cons: Could potentially be slow as it is a lot of pixel manipulation still done in GDI.
