    Tight quarters on that one, I guess that will have to go hand in hand with an overlap fix. I'm a big fan of that direction though, and the progress.

    Problem is I am no graphic designer

    If I could just get photoshop to spit out a gradient that didnt look like poo , I can take 360 stills at angles, and make 1 big multiimage, which may sound bad, but will be faster to look at which picture to display from an array than having to interlace pixels so many times....

    There just isnt a way with GDI unfortuneatly.

    do you want 360 .pngs? what color? Just like what's up there? I'll do one if you want. Not that I'm a pro, but I'd be happy to give it a shot.

    Well I think with 1 "donut" gradient, the slices can be made easilt with the "action" tool in PS (that I just discovered last week and love btw ). You can give it a shot if you would like. I just havent been able to get it to look right. I am no PS master by any means though lol.

    Ok I added it, but I deleted the two new ones. For some dumb reason I thought that would speed things up a little (one of many lapses of reasoning). I only did a 180 arc graph and in 5 degree increments. I came across some more questions in doing so though.
    I figured I'd make the graph scalable by linking it to a new variable. That way I could use generic hi/low values for the graph, and then use a statement to assign the value of
    wantedtemperature*120/180 to it.

    wantedtoarc = wanted temperature*120/180.

    But I wasn't very successful. I didn't see any math examples and haven't yet poked around too much in the source to see how yet. So right now it's like a high range indication. I added +5,-5 increment buttons to see it's action more easily. I'm not sure if 360 degree precision is necessary, but it's not too much to do. Width and color are relatively easy to change. I dont think 180 degree sweep looks exactly right, maybe shave 5-10 off of the ends. I can build it further down the sides also to make something more like a speedo/tac.

    Well it becomes very slow. If you want to see the code, look in the "GUI.cs" code file, and look at the rotating image code. For the needles that rotate normally, it calls the function 1 time, returns a bitmap with it rotated. For the rotate with "sweep", it calls it (sweep angle x increment angle) so could be hundreds of time each redraw cycle each image. So slow slow slow slow slow...... slow.

    This program has become so much different than I originally intended or imagined (which is a good thing! ) but C# is not meant for this. But I hate C++, so hopefully MS will make a faster C#.Kablam! Edition or something which would be awesome.

    And I suppose I could make a change command for those multi image values which could be set by variables then. Good idea.

    How is the speed for everyone? Also not sure if I mentioned it, but 1 log is on by default right now, so check a folder called "Logs" and see if you have a huge *** file in there. If you do, you may want to disable it by default. I am looking into splitting it usefully automatically.

    It seems like the test sweep isn't slowing things down nearly as much as the logger. Turning it off speeds things up immensely. I'm going to hunt it down, but are you writing to file for each data point, as it occurs? If so, could you collect a group of data and dump to file less frequently? Would that be faster?
