edit.... the one in the release folder there is only 1.1mb and the one that the updater brought in is 1.34mb, the one in in the link above has no remote at all it seems, and the one the update brought in is locked to port 4242
    despite this
    <remote status="enabled" user_name="" port="0"></remote>

just noticed the font .png files were not in the configuration font dir so copied them from the source link, which has now stopped the font error messages

    more edits..
got ninja kitty to work after manually copying files off the server, as suggested by dan.

No. Read the last sentence in my post above...

Debug, not release. And you need the binary, not the object.

    Glad it works for you.

But no week of sleep. Classes start Monday. 20 credit hours + private chinese language course + 2 jobs + this. No rest until Winter Break in December.

I'm having a problem with the remote control feature... it won't update any variable value or turn any output on or off, it just shows the start up variable values, port is set to 4242 and i mapped it...

and you made sure to change the user name to something in the configuration file and register that name online?

Do you have MDX blocked with your firewall? And do you have port 4242 opened and forwarded to your computer?

I have registered the username and I can login and stuff, but it just shows the application start up values, and the outputs won't turn on or off even if i click update now.

I guess it's something with the port?

    This is what I have,

yup sounds like a port forwarding issue. Are you running anti-virus? Behind a router? Behind a firewall? How are you forwarding it?

Tried turning off my antivirus and it didn't do it, my computer is behind a dsl switch and that's it, i only mapped the port in windows firewall... anything else I should do to forward it?
