DSL switch? Router or modem? Can more than 1 PC be connected to it? If so, then you need to forward it from the dsl unit too. If it is just a modem then probably only the PC.
If you have a port blocking antivirus, then turn it off, restart the computer, and try.

My pc is plugged into a dsl switch (in which 3 PC's are plugged in), which is connected to a dsl router (in which you could only plug one in)
the one that plugs into the wall is the modem. The one that plugs into that is a router/switch.
The router/switch has to know where to send the packets. So you need to setup forwarding on it.

So if i plugged my computer directly into the modem it would work since there wouldd only be one way for the packets to go?

All routers have forwarding menus, you just need to login to your switch and change the options.

I think I found a problem on my end now.
Long story short, we use our main host for everything, and then a second free host just for 1 function we use in Remote Control. Now this second free host has blocked the same php function our main host blocks. So now I am looking for another free host for my 1 file
