Ok, on my virtual XP machine I am having some problems with it. Not sure of the problem but it is a Vista to XP issue.
Let me know what if any errors you get.
MDX Auto Updater Version 4.0.0.143
Ok, there is a new updater.
This one is very much improved. The old one worked by downloading all updates and comparing file contents byte by byte to see if there was a difference. If there was, it updated with the downloaded file.
Well this worked fine when I just had a few files to update, but every update it would download the full update package and compare.
This new version however uses a much improved file version lookup. I have also created a program that modifies all Fusion Control Centre programs' assemblies with an updated version number. This along with the last write time is now in the XML update file. Meaning to update, the program only downloads the update file (~10kb) and then checks files based on that. Then if there are files to update, it downloads only what it needs. And if multiple install paths are found, it uses the same downloaded file for each path compared to the previous version that downloads the full thing for each install path.
Please report any problems. There is one I know of with the previous version and the incompatibility with the new format of the update file. it will error the old updater and will constantly spawn new windows. So I suggest you exit the old program, install the new one and be done with it. The new program will unregister the old one from the registry so it will not start up on startup along with the new version.
This new version does include an option to exit the updater. But again, I release things all the time, and unless you fancy downloading 300Mb full installer each time, use the updater people.
If there is no web connection, it is fine, it does not error. Also the new program uses multi-threading so when downloading a file, the installer will not be incapacitated like the old version.
It is very improved, and required for all future updates.
Just download the file (rar is only 100kb packed) and run it. That simple. You should put the file in the Fusion Folder before you run it because it will register itself in the registry from where you run it and try to run that each time. Also not that it matters much but it has 256x256 png icons embedded so in vista, you can get a huge png icon for it.

EDIT: XP Icon problem solved in Version 4.0.0.143

i tried... got same error on xp...
Ok, found the problem... XP has quasi-support for larger icons.
So the icon file I had has the 48x48 required by XP and the 256x256 required by Vista for when they go 192dpi or something. Anyways, Vista can downscale the 256x256 to 48x48 or 32x32 for the system tray. XP is not so lucky, and cannot scale it for some odd reason. So now there are 2 icons embedded in the program, 1 for the system tray, and 1 for the icon you see in windows explorer. So if you make your system tray HUGE, the icon will be all pixelated. But I was able to compress it more so it is only 382Kb unpacked.
Same link in first post, new version. Please let me know.

This is the one I just downloaded. I tried both the RAR and the ZIP and I get 4.0.0.142, it runs but it tells me I need a newer version (4.0.0.143, I suppose) and it wont get new updates until I do so. I just downloaded it.
