What it does:
When a RoadRunner label is set to that above, it will poll MDX automatically. Like before, MDX only tries to interpret things that begin with "fusion".
The next field is the type, which can be "ai", "do", "di", "varbool", "varnum" which give you back respectively: analogue input, digitial output, digital input, boolean variable, numeric variable.
The next number is the index. 0 means the 1st one, 4 means the 5th one. The number is determined by the order in the configuration file, NOT the port number. 0th item is the top of the file, Nth item is at the end of the file.
The optional fourh parameter is the decimal precision, only works on analogue inputs.
These will automatically update as RoadRunner constantly polls.

From what I understand, that should do it. Try the various "ai_xx" numbers until you come up with a value. I'm only regurgitating though, so if you can't make that work, hopefully someone else can help.

yeah, i have tried that. I tried every number from 0 to 10, and even 00-10. i only have one analog input, so it should be easy to find.

If you have the configuration file correctly setup with your Brain instance, analogue input instance, then count how many analogue instnaces are before it, (in your case it should be 0 above it so your index would be zero).

In the COM area make sure you have it enabled and setup exactly as above.

Make sure you are using the updater. If you dont update, I dont help.

Make sure the DLL is registered. If you didnt use the installer recently, and had MDX installed before the COM update, then run the registration command file in the MDX directory.

I decided to try it on a fresh machine, so i istalled MDX w/Updater, Installed RR and started from scratch. As before the com test buttom works on MDX when i press it the play command is sent to RR. I am still unable to get RR to turn on digital outputs, or get RR to show any value from my analog input. I'm sure it is something simple I am missing, but I will send some one copies of the MDX config file and a copy of the RR skin file where I am calling these functions if someone thinks they could help. I am about to pull my hair out this has been driving me crazy for 3 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used your example and it works great! If I wanted to use your example to use a trigger like a resistance from a steering wheel button how would I modify your example? I'm assuming starting with removing functionTargetID="Digital Output 0" .

I am still trying to get this to work, I have copied and pasted exactly as above with no luck. I am using the updater and I ran the registration command.

I sthere a possability some one could send me a sample configuration file that works for them. I am pretty sure that RR is sending the command, but MDX isnt rcognizing it. When I ren RR in debug mode i see that it sends fusion_vote_RoadRunnerCommand but the outputs never energize.
