I tried running the Debug version of MDX and got this:
![]()
Just did a new build after my old mobo fried. My OS is custom through nlite so there is a chance I might have taken something out I shouldn't have in order for MDX to work. I'm running 32bit XP pro SP3. But after a successful install, I restart and try to run MDX and nothing happens. Nothing in task manager... nothing. But configurator works fine. Not sure what's going on. Is there a log somewhere I can access and find out whats going on? Any help would be great as this is a HUGE part of my CarPC.
Thanks,
Tim

It means you took out SAPI which is Microsoft's speech system. Without the SAPI dll's, MDX cannot start. You might be able to just put the dlls in the folder and run it, but I am not sure as I havent tried that.

Beautiful! I found the inf and opened it and found where the dll's were located and then copied them from another xp machine and pasted them into their correct locations. Installed the inf, rebooted and it worked. Thanks Toast
