Aha! You might have to ask Ashgrovered when he comes in here, not sure yet if it is a feature of his skin until I have a bit more of a play later

The blue next direction bar [icon | dist | description] at the top of the map frame is part of D3 not the skin. Open

C:\DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Visu al\All\Destinator.inf and look for the following lines

// Maneuver windows sizes:
// 1 - ::V - maneuver windows sizes sign
// 2,3 - maneuver icon and maneuver distance windows width for main window
// 4,5 - maneuver icon and maneuver distance windows width for maneuver list
// 6,7 - maneuver windows font and its height, if font name is empty, maneuver windows font is not changed
// 8 - font height for "Stop" sign in Maneuver List
// NB: maneuver icon height is equal to maneuver icon width.
::V,0,70,40,65,Tahoma,30,500,14,700

The last line is the one you want.

Looks like if position 2 is set to 0 then don’t display, so I changed it to

::V,80,80,50,50,Tahoma,30,500,14,700

For my skin

Someone else must have worked this out from mp3car as one day after doing some updates I suddenly had it on my screen, I had no idea what I had changed to turn it on. Finally I worked it out I had downloaded a new Destinator.inf that someone had modified the zoom bars and they must have had it enabled. Sorry cant take the credit.

Turn them off. CDR posted what the line you had to add to settings.ini I think it was fade=false or fadeeffects=false

Buttons on the lhs are a little bit fiddly on a 7" TS but certainly not unusable

I have a 7"TS and I run at full screen. Not to bad when you are driving but I think the skin is a bit crowded, I am thinking of getting rid of the settings icon and moving everything down
