Rustyboxx's first attempt at skinning for FreeDrive

Ok guys, here it is after a year of having a carpc. I've just spent the entire evening getting to grips with Photoshop and layers and opacity and stuff. Bloody daunting when you haven't got much of a clue.

Please bear in mind this is my first attempt. Ive done the day skin so far and mocked up the normal info that you would see from FreeDrive.

I'd appreciate your comments and opinion as to whether this could be a popular skin once its finished. Somehow I think this will suit quite a few people.

Well I see you managed to get the PS skills up a notch it is a shame it looks like one of my mother’s table cloths

Also include is a Gamma Control layer (best to keep this at the top of all your layers,) if you play with the settings it will lighten or darken all the layers below it. I find this useful when you test you skin in the can and you want to brighten or darken it a bit without changing all the color values on all the layers. To see what is does turn of and on the visibility on the PS Layer.

2FastMR2 has written a pretty good how-to in this thread. As for the hat, I confess that it was photoshopped as I couldn't be arsed to change the icon in D3.
