What does the -B stand for on the 700TSV-B models. Are the specs the same as the 700-TSV, Brightness, contrast, viewing angle?

Sorry for the delayed response as the storm caused connectivity issues.

I believe the B denotes Black frame. The following is the original manufacturers descriptions for the 700Y-B model:

Xenarc Technologies Corp. is one of the first LCD manufacturers to introduce a 7" LCD screen with VGA input and Touchscreen. And now they have further improved this popular model by incorporating the latest LED backlight technology and adding an ambient light sensor. In addition, Chip Monolithic Ceramic Capacitors are used in place of Electrolytic Capacitors though out the unit to further improve the stability and durability especially in extreme temperature conditions.

These monitors come included with an instruction manual, a universal monitor stand, an AC adapter, a connection cable, cigarette lighter car adapter, and touchscreen drivers for DOS, Window, Linux, and Mac OS.

The following represent manufacturer details actual specs might vary slightly:

        Features:
        • For In-Car Computing, PC, Server, GPS, and various VGA Use
        •VGA Input (15 pin D-SUB) x 1

I am interested in the carnetix 1900.
Would you be willing to ship to Aus?
I would be interested in tracking though as the last one I bought off a user on here never showed up
Also just confirming non of those 7" monitors are HDMI/DVI input are they.

            Cheers

As long as you cover tracked shipping (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) and insurance costs, I'd gladly accept.

                  imobilepc:

I received my screen today. I've powered it up, and installed the touch software. I've noticed some dead pixels on the left side. On an all black screen there are two bright dots. One dot is larger than the other leading me to believe that the bigger spot is actually a number of pixels. You claimed these were new in box. Is there a warranty, and how do we go about taking care of this?

                  Thank you,

                  Jason

Yes, they're new in box except for the display model and unused. They don't have a factory warranty anymore given that they're not the latest generation.

However, I do try to be an upstanding member of the car pc community so please send me a pic of the issue and the serial number so I can remedy this situation.

                    Thanks,

                    Jason

                          Update on the Xenarc Screen:

Jason Rappaport (imobilrpc) went well above the call of duty to get this screen back to Xenarc to get the panel replaced. Although it looks as if this particular screen has been sitting on the shelf for a while, Jason talked them into swapping the panel and returning it to me. He even refunded me a total of $40 to make up for the trouble and the cost of shipping to Xenarc.

I currently have it on my desk, streaming pandora through XBMC on my Raspberry Pi, using composite output. No more dead pixels! Now I just need to decide which car to put it in.

Thanks to Jason for all the effort.
